Grane Residents’ Association are always asking for “joined up thinking” from the local council, the county council and other authorities.
In the spirit of collaboration, we are really excited to support another local group of residents called Protect our Greenbelt.
They are based in Belthorn and Guide and they are campaigning to protect the Grane Moors - especially the wet peat lands bordering the Grane Road. Their rural villages are being threatened with the building of upto 94 acres of Industrial Units. Can you imagine the traffic and the impact of the lives of residents and especially school children in their small primary schools?
It doesn’t bare thinking about!
Anything that affects their end of Grane Road will affect us here at this end of Grane Road too.
They are holding a fun Race Night to fundraise for their important campaign.
It’s happening at the Dog Inn on Monday 18th August starting at 7pm. Let’s pull together and give them as much support as we can!
Get your tickets early to avoid disappointment - the odds are looking good!
